Commerce State Minister Ahsanul Islam Titu said that imports should be diversified for exports. He said this in a courtesy meeting with Finland’s non-resident ambassador, Kimo Lahdevirta, on Wednesday (May 29).

The State Minister said that the Ministry of Commerce is working to diversify export products under the direction of the Prime Minister. For this, import should be diversified along with export. Government has made National Logistics Policy 2024 to facilitate business. Working to increase good relations with several countries through B2B communication.

Mentioning that the economy of Bangladesh is progressing further, he said that Matarbari seaport, Payra port have raised the commercial potential of the country. Good relations are being created with ASEAN countries for business expansion.

Appreciating the development and progress of Bangladesh, Ambassador of Finland Kimo Lahdevirta said that Finland-Bangladesh have had good relations for a long time. Bangladesh is moving forward one step economically. A group of business representatives who are interested in investment will come to Bangladesh next October.
